Location: John Ioannides Auditorium, Fresnel Building, The Cyprus Institute
Event Description:
The EuroCC-2 project is pleased to announce the upcoming “High-Performance Computing (HPC) for Research in Cyprus” event, designed to bring together academic groups from Universities, Research Centres, and Centres of Excellence interested in leveraging High-Performance Computing (HPC) resources for research in fields such as Computational Modelling/Simulations, large-scale Data Analytics, and Machine Learning (ML)/Artificial Intelligence (AI). As the National Competence Center (NCC) for HPC in Cyprus, the Computation-based Science and Technology Research Center (CaSToRC) is committed to enhancing the capabilities of Cypriot computational researchers in these critical areas. Through the EuroCC-2 project, CaSToRC offers a range of complementary services and collaborative opportunities, including consultations, training, and support for accessing and using HPC resources. The “High-Performance Computing (HPC) for Research in Cyprus” event will feature several short presentations by invited participants, followed by a panel discussion on the application of HPC in academic research within Cyprus, and concluding with open discussions. This event presents a unique opportunity for Cypriot researchers to network, share insights, and engage in discussions on computational challenges within their respective fields of expertise.
The EuroCC2 project is Funded by the European Union. This work has received funding from the European High Performance Computing Joint Undertaking (JU), Cyprus (co-funded by the EU within the framework of the Cohesion Policy Programme “THALIA 2021-2027”) and the participating countries in the project under grant agreement No 101101903
