We are excited to announce the Call for Proposals for Production Access to High Performance Computing (HPC) Resources. This initiative aims to provide researchers and scientists from academia, industry, and the public sector access to the HPC system ‘Cyclone,’ hosted at the HPC Facility (HPCF) of The Cyprus Institute (CyI).
Objective:
To support production-ready projects that require substantial computing resources. These resources are offered for open R&D purposes at no cost, subject to eligibility.
Key Details:
- Application Deadline: September 15, 2024
- Access Period: November 1, 2024 – October 31, 2025
- Available Resources: 2 million CPU core hours and 180,000 GPU hours (80% of the total resources will be allocated to projects aligned with Cyprus’ Smart Specialization Strategy).
Eligibility:
Applicants from Cyprus-based organizations in academia, research, industry, and the public sector are eligible. The call also supports collaboration with organizations from the Eastern Mediterranean and Middle East (EMME) region. The Principal Investigator (PI) must be affiliated with a Cyprus-based organization.

- Scientific Track: For academic, research, and public organizations.
- Industry Track: For industry projects with open R&D initiatives.
