We are pleased to share a success story from our collaboration with Vlassides Winery, where we provided consultation on developing a model to accurately predict the harvest dates for Merlot grapes using flowering dates and environmental parameters. The available data included meteorological data from the Cyprus Department of Meteorology, alongside bookkeeping information from Vlassides Winery. Our consultation focused on data preprocessing and on methodologies for feature selection process to evaluate the predictive power of various environmental parameters.
Through the consultation offered, Vlassides Winery was able to identify variables which could act as reliable model predictors for identifying the optimal harvest dates. In conclusion, our collaboration has empowered Vlassides Winery with refined methodologies for planning and optimizing their harvests, ultimately contributing to the production of high-quality wine. The insights gained from our consultation will be invaluable for future harvest planning and wine quality optimization.
