Medochemie Ltd., a global leader in the production and distribution of generic pharmaceutical products, constantly seeks to optimise its operations, particularly in product development. One of the ongoing challenges it faces is the time-consuming literature review process required to meet regulatory standards and develop new products efficiently.
To explore potential solutions for this challenge, Medochemie Ltd. engaged in a pilot investigation with EuroCC2 to assess the feasibility of using AI-driven technology to streamline these processes. Our consultation centred around the use of Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), which has the potential to automate aspects of document processing and literature reviews. This technology could allow Medochemie to extract critical information from vast volumes of documents and generate responses to the standardised questions that form a crucial part of product development.
EuroCC2’s role was to provide a technical consultation in the form of a pilot study, offering insights into the potential impact of AI-driven solutions on Medochemie’s development processes. This collaboration remains in its early stages, with ongoing discussions on how to utilize and expand these initial findings
“Medochemie has run a pilot program with NCC using RAG system for a pharmaceutical product under development. The outcome of this study is very encouraging especially to the matter related to the literature search that needs to be conducted for the drug substances in the initial stages of the development. We shall continue our efforts and expand the use of RAG system in the drug product aspects”
